About the Role
Grant Thornton UAE is seeking a Senior Consultant for its Business Risk Services team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves executing internal audit and risk management assignments, preparing audit documentation, and supervising junior colleagues.

Responsibilities
- Prepare draft terms of reference/audit planning document prior to meeting the client whilst ensuring any revisions are processed
- Prepare business proposals and ensure timely submission to the line manager
- Prepare fieldwork as applicable to review
- Execute financial risk management assignments independently in Financial Services sector such as capital, liquidity, credit and market risk, stress testing, internal risk models, data management and risk reporting
- Conduct current state assessment, gap analysis and Target Operating Model design
- Build and implement Risk reporting related processes such as assessing Risk management policies, procedures and standards and develop/update them as required
- Produce close out documentation and contribute to close out meetings with the client
- Build and maintain good working relationships with all clients and colleagues
- Field management responsibilities including completing file reviews and preparing reports for review by assistant manager and engagement manager
- Plan and supervise audits assigned to junior colleagues, including leading planning and exit meetings
- Prepare reports and presentations for assigned projects
- Formulate recommendations and solutions with attention to a client’s wishes, capabilities and limitations forming concise reports
Requirements
- 3+ years of work experience in Internal Audit / Risk Management within a top international consulting firm
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or finance is essential
- Qualified level candidate of professional qualification or pursuing (CIA, ACCA, CA, OR CRMA) is preferred
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills in English and Arabic are mandatory
- Strong working knowledge of data analytics tools and techniques to analyze large datasets, and detect anomalies
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work to tight deadlines, self motivated and detail focused
