The Senior Consultant will join Grant Thornton's Business Risk Services team.
The team delivers risk solutions focused on internal controls, risk detection, audit frameworks, efficiency, and resilience.
Senior Consultant Responsibilities
- Prepare draft terms of reference and audit planning documents and process revisions.
- Prepare business proposals and submit them to the line manager on time.
- Prepare and execute fieldwork for assigned reviews.
- Execute financial risk management assignments in Financial Services, including capital, liquidity, credit, and market risk.
- Perform stress testing, internal risk model, data management, and risk reporting work.
- Conduct current-state assessments, gap analyses, and Target Operating Model design.
- Build and implement risk reporting processes and update risk management policies, procedures, and standards.
- Produce close-out documentation and contribute to client close-out meetings.
- Complete file reviews and prepare reports for management review.
- Plan and supervise audits assigned to junior colleagues and lead planning and exit meetings.
- Prepare reports and presentations and formulate practical client recommendations.
- Assist with implementation, billing, income collection, profitability budgets, and financial review processes.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in Internal Audit or Risk Management within a top international consulting firm.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills in English and Arabic are mandatory.
- Strong working knowledge of data analytics tools and techniques for analyzing large datasets and detecting anomalies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated and detail-focused approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- A professional qualification such as CIA, ACCA, CA, or CRMA, either completed or in progress, is preferred.
