About the Role

Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting records and prepare financial statements
- Handle bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare and file VAT returns in compliance with local tax regulations
- Advise clients on VAT registration, deregistration, refunds, and compliance requirements
- Assist clients with VAT audits and tax assessments
- Support month end and year end closing activities
- Prepare management reports and financial analysis
- Ensure compliance with IFRS/local accounting standards and applicable tax laws
- Monitor changes in VAT and tax legislation and advise clients accordingly
- Assist Chinese speaking clients with accounting, taxation, and financial matters
- Coordinate with auditors, banks, and government authorities when required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of accounting and VAT consulting experience
- Strong knowledge of VAT regulations
- Fluency in Mandarin and English (spoken and written)
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, Oracle, Zoho Books, or similar)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent) is preferred
- Experience working with Chinese companies or multinational organizations is an advantage
