Job Objective
Support the strategic development and execution of Dubai’s economic policies and growth initiatives.
Lead strategic projects within the Economic Strategy Sector through project management and stakeholder engagement.
Support informed decision-making, economic resilience, and sustainable growth through research and analysis.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead complex projects across planning, governance, stakeholder coordination, risk management, and delivery oversight.
- Assist with Dubai’s economic growth and cost competitiveness strategies, policies, and plans.
- Analyse economic programmes and initiatives and recommend improvements.
- Develop special projects for sectors critical to Dubai’s Economic Agenda.
- Prepare reports and presentations for decision-making.
- Engage clients, partners, private-sector stakeholders, and economic institutions.
- Represent the department in local and regional economic forums and working groups.
- Evaluate project economic feasibility and prepare continuation or modification recommendations.
- Support economic research, studies, and analysis with department heads.
- Prepare materials and communications for the Director General and senior leadership.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s degree in Economics, Economic Policy, Public Policy, Statistics, or a closely related field.
- Certifications including PMP, CAP, CFA, CBE, CEcD, FRM, or Certified Data Scientist are advantageous.
- Close to 10 years of strategic economic planning, policy development, or senior advisory experience is preferred.
- Track record developing and implementing economic growth strategies, policies, and initiatives.
- Experience managing large-scale projects, strategic performance measures, and performance reporting.
- Experience representing organisations in economic forums and building institutional stakeholder networks.
- Management consulting experience is advantageous.
