Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and monitor compliance frameworks aligning with local and international regulations
- Review policies and procedures, conduct risk assessments
- Advise leadership on regulatory requirements
- Prepare documentation and reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with program, finance, and governance teams to ensure ethical operations, data protection, and transparent financial practices
- Provide guidance and training to staff and volunteers on compliance standards
- Recommend improvements as the foundation grows and expands global partnerships
Requirements
- Strong skills in Compliance Management and Regulatory Compliance
- Solid Analytical Skills to evaluate risks and interpret regulatory requirements

- Foundational knowledge in Finance
- Relevant experience in compliance, risk, audit, or legal functions within financial services, non profit, or international organizations
- Advanced degree or professional certification in law, finance, compliance, or related field (e.g., CAMS, CRCMP) preferred
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid setting and manage multiple priorities
- Familiarity with UAE regulatory frameworks and international best practices

Role Description
- The Senior Compliance Officer is a part time, hybrid role based in Dubai, with flexibility for some work from home arrangements.
- This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring compliance frameworks that align with local and international regulations relevant to non profit, financial, and advocacy activities.
Day to Day Tasks
- Reviewing policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, advising leadership on regulatory requirements, and preparing documentation or reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborating with program, finance, and governance teams to ensure ethical operations, data protection, and transparent financial practices.
- Providing guidance and training to staff and volunteers on compliance standards, and recommending improvements as the foundation grows and expands its global partnerships.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Compliance Management and Regulatory Compliance.
- Solid Analytical Skills to evaluate risks, interpret regulatory requirements, and assess the impact of policies and procedures.
- Clear and professional Communication skills to prepare reports, advise leadership, and engage with stakeholders.
- Foundational knowledge in Finance to support transparent financial practices, controls, and reporting.
- Relevant experience in compliance, risk, audit, or legal functions within financial services, non profit, or international organizations.
- Advanced degree or professional certification in law, finance, compliance, or a related field (e.g., CAMS, CRCMP, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a hybrid setting, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high ethical standards.
- Familiarity with UAE regulatory frameworks and international best practices, along with a commitment to gender equity and inclusive development, is an advantage.
