Senior Compliance Analyst

Role Overview

Core Responsibilities

• Analyse flagged accounts and transaction activity to identify compliance concerns.
• Conduct customer due diligence and make adherence decisions against policy and regulatory requirements.
• Review high-value deposits and withdrawals using AI-powered procedures.
• Perform PEP, sanctions, and adverse media screening.
• Prepare compliance reports and support regulatory filings.
• Advise operational and product teams on required process changes.
• Identify and improve weak compliance processes.
• Resolve complex compliance questions with clear, defensible judgments.

Candidate Requirements

• University degree in finance, economics, law, risk management, criminology, business studies, data science, management, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of compliance experience in financial services, fintech, investment services, or another regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry standards, customer due diligence, transaction reviews, and sanctions screening.
• Strong analytical ability, including anomaly detection in transaction data and comfort with complex datasets.
• Excel proficiency, clear English communication, meticulous attention to detail, and sound judgment.
• Reliable, self-motivated, adaptable, and interested in the use of AI tools for compliance work.
• Professional confidence to challenge operational or product teams when plans do not meet compliance standards.
