About the Role
McDermott is looking for a Senior Commissioning Engineer with 8-15 years of oil and gas experience to lead commissioning activities, including walk-down inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and instrument systems.

Responsibilities
- Report to the Commissioning Manager and support the Principal Commissioning Engineer in home office deliverables
- Participate in walk down inspections, punch listing, and testing including troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical & instrument component issues
- Collaborate with the Project team and Client to maintain positive relationships
- Support commissioning team with operating and maintenance manuals development
- Develop commissioning and start up spares, first fills, and consumables
- Develop commissioning and start up procedures
- Perform discipline equipment system checks and tests
- Function test mechanical, electrical, and instrument systems
- Participate in commissioning, start up, and performance testing
- Resolve operational and maintenance issues during commissioning, start up, and performance tests
- Supervise craft personnel for site pre commissioning and commissioning activities
- Coordinate activities with other engineers in the commissioning team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering
- 8 15 years of experience in oil and gas with a major contractor or consultant
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a chemical, refinery, or oil & gas processing facility
- Prefer 2+ years of previous commissioning and start up experience
- Good computer software skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Willing and able to travel to international construction sites
- Proficiency in English

Job Overview
- The Senior Commissioning Engineer uses best practices to improve the Commissioning discipline within McDermott.

Essential Qualifications and Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering.
- 8 15 years of experience in oil and gas with a major contractor or consultant.
- Good understanding of concepts, principles, and practices in commissioning, completions, and training.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a chemical, refinery, or oil & gas processing facility.
- Prefer 2+ years of previous commissioning and start up experience.
- Able to effectively communicate technical solutions to engineers and non engineers.
- Good computer software skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Good organizational skills and adaptability.
- Willing and able to travel to international construction sites.
- Proficiency in English; multi language skills a plus.
