Responsibilities
- Lead negotiation and drafting of project contracts
- Oversee contract administration throughout project lifecycle
- Manage and resolve contractual claims
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project budgets
- Implement cost control measures and value engineering
- Prepare detailed financial reports including cash flow forecasts and cost to complete analyses
- Identify potential commercial risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Act as primary commercial interface with clients
- Develop and implement procurement strategies
- Lead, mentor and contribute within a team of project delivery professionals
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Economics or related field
- MRICS or equivalent professional accreditation preferred
- Minimum 8 10 years in cost/commercial management within architecture, engineering, construction or project management consultancy
- Experience working across multiple jurisdictions, ideally GCC and Europe/MENA
- Hands on experience administering FIDIC (or equivalent) contracts
- Track record managing commercial matters on high rise and hospitality projects
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
- Confident contract negotiation and dispute management skills
- Proficiency in cost management/ERP tools and advanced Excel
- Clear written and verbal communication in English; Arabic is an advantage

Role Purpose
- The Senior Commercial Manager will form an integral part of a dedicated Project Management Consultant Team and shall be responsible to lead cost and commercial management activities across QP’s project portfolio.
- Overseeing the commercial, financial and contract administration function throughout the entire lifecycle of each project.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract and Commercial Management: Lead negotiation and drafting of project contracts, oversee administration, manage claims.
- Financial and Cost Management: Develop budgets, implement cost control, prepare financial reports.
- Risk Management: Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, establish contingency plans.
- Client and Stakeholder Management: Act as primary commercial interface, coordinate stakeholders.
- Procurement and Supply Chain Management: Develop procurement strategies, manage suppliers and subcontractors.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, conduct performance reviews.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain commercial documents, provide executive reports.
- Strategic Planning and Business Development: Contribute to commercial strategy, conduct market analysis.
- Continuous Improvement: Review and improve commercial processes, implement best practices.
What You Bring
