Ayesa Engineering seeks a Senior Coastal Engineer for marine and coastal projects in the Middle East. The role involves leading coastal engineering workstreams from concept to detailed design, developing solutions for coastal protection and shoreline infrastructure, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities
- Lead and support coastal engineering workstreams across concept, preliminary design, detailed design and tender stages
- Develop engineering solutions for coastal protection, shoreline infrastructure, marina basins, harbour layouts and waterfront protection systems
- Interpret modelling outputs related to wave transformation, hydrodynamics, sediment transport, flushing, residence time, water quality and coastal flood assessments
- Prepare and review basis of design documents, coastal process assessments, metocean summaries, technical reports, specifications, drawings and tender documentation
- Coordinate with marine structures, geotechnical, environmental, masterplanning, GIS, CAD/BIM and project management teams
- Support client meetings, design workshops, authority discussions and multidisciplinary coordination
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Coastal Engineering or a related discipline
- 10+ years of relevant experience in coastal engineering, marine infrastructure or coastal consultancy
- Middle East project experience, especially in the UAE, KSA, Bahrain, Oman or the wider GCC
- Strong design experience in coastal and shoreline infrastructure, including breakwaters, revetments, seawalls, beaches, groynes, scour protection and reclamation edge protection
- Experience with coastal modelling tools such as MIKE 21, Delft3D, SWAN, XBeach, SBEACH or LITPAK
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to explain technical coastal engineering matters clearly to non specialist stakeholders

What We Are Looking For
