About the Role

The platform includes iOS and Android mobile applications, cloud-native backend APIs, an administrative analytics dashboard, and scalable AWS infrastructure.
The engineer will maintain, stabilize, and scale the platform beyond 100,000 users as the original developer transitions out.
Technology Stack
- Mobile technologies include React Native, React.js, Expo, TypeScript, React Navigation, Zustand, universal links, deep linking, and push notifications.
- Backend technologies include Node.js, Koa Framework, TypeScript, and REST APIs.
- Database technologies include PostgreSQL, Knex, and Objection.js.
- Cloud infrastructure includes AWS, Terraform, ECS, Fargate, RDS, S3, and load balancers.
- Third-party integrations include Stripe, Auth0, Google Maps, and location APIs.
Platform Ownership
- Maintain and enhance React Native mobile applications.
- Manage backend APIs and the overall server architecture.
- Own AWS cloud infrastructure, deployments, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on new features and platform improvements.
Scalability and Performance
- Prepare the platform for growth beyond 100,000 users.
- Optimize database performance and backend services.
- Design caching strategies and performance enhancements.
- Identify and resolve system bottlenecks.
Cloud Operations and DevOps
- Manage AWS environments, deployments, and scaling activities.
- Improve infrastructure reliability, monitoring, and observability.
- Ensure high availability, uptime, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
Mobile Engineering
- Enhance and maintain React Native applications for iOS and Android.
- Manage App Store and Google Play release processes.
- Maintain push notification systems, deep linking, and mobile integrations.
- Improve mobile application performance and user experience.
Security and Compliance
- Ensure secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Implement API security and data protection best practices.
- Manage access controls and platform security standards.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Experience supporting and maintaining production-scale applications.
- Strong React Native expertise and solid React.js experience.
- Advanced Node.js backend development experience and strong TypeScript proficiency.
- PostgreSQL database design and optimization experience.
- Experience with AWS cloud-native architectures, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and REST API development.
Additional Experience
- Experience with containerized application environments and CI/CD or mobile deployment pipelines is beneficial.
- Experience with performance tuning, application optimization, monitoring, and distributed-system troubleshooting is beneficial.
Compensation and Work Location
- Pay starts at ₹1,200,000 per year.
- Work location is in person.
