Systems Design, Architecture & Governance
- Review High-Level Designs (HLD) and translate them into Detailed Level Design (DLD) documents, detailing precise configurations, implementation steps, dependencies, and risks.
- Architecture Governance & Endorsement: Actively present drafted DLDs to the Architecture Review Board (ARB), address technical feedback from principal architects, secure endorsement, and execute the deployment of the approved patterns within the cloud.
- Translate complex ERP infrastructure requirements into clear, actionable build tasks and track them effectively using Jira and Service Now. Tenant Migrations & Workload Transition
- Support the technical execution of migrating critical ERP and supporting application workloads from source-hosted environments in external Azure tenancies over to the target EDG Azure tenancy.
- Identify, document, and mitigate cross-tenancy migration risks, ensuring minimal business disruption and maintain data integrity during cutovers. Hypercare & Post Go-Live Support
- Provide dedicated technical assistance to resolve any complex infrastructure issues that arise post go-live during the intensive Hypercare phase of the programme.
- Work closely with application and platform teams to stabilise the new environment, optimise performance baselines, and ensure operational readiness for business-as-usual (BAU) handover. CAF Governance & EDG Standards Alignment
- Deploy and manage Azure infrastructure that aligns with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Azure Landing Zone (ALZ) architectures.
- Enforce EDG Cloud deployment standards across all environments utilising subscription isolation, Management Group hierarchies, and Azure Policy-as-Code.
Skills & Experience Mandatory
- 5+ years of experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer, ideally within large-scale retail enterprise programs or ERP migrations.
- Proven experience translating High-Level Designs into comprehensive Detailed Level Designs (DLD) and navigating them through an Architecture Review Board (ARB) or similar governance body.
