Role Description
- The Senior Civil Structural Engineer is a full time, on site role based in Doha, Qatar.
- Responsible for leading civil and structural design activities and performing detailed structural analysis.
- Ensures compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications for energy projects.
- Prepares and reviews engineering calculations, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Provides guidance to junior engineers and collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams.
- Supports project planning, execution, technical queries, design reviews, risk assessments, and constructability evaluations.
- Coordinates with clients and contractors to align engineering deliverables with project objectives and timelines.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Structural Engineering.
- Must have a valid MMUP/UPDA (Grade A) certification.
- Proficiency in Civil Engineering Design and advanced Structural Analysis using relevant software tools.
- Demonstrated Project Management capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; master's degree or professional certification is an advantage.
- Experience in the energy or industrial sector, preferably with large scale projects in international environments.
- Familiarity with international engineering standards and local regulations in the Middle East.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to mentor and support junior engineers.
