Senior Civil Engineer / Transportation Design Engineer

Provide technical review for major road and highway infrastructure projects.

The role requires a multidisciplinary understanding of transportation engineering, drainage, structures, geotechnics, traffic engineering, and utility interfaces to support design development and technical assurance activities.

• Carry out the technical review of highway, roadway, interchange, and infrastructure designs.

• Review and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering submissions, including transportation, drainage, structural, geotechnical, utilities, and traffic engineering packages.

• Ensure compliance with project requirements, Saudi Highway Code (SHC), MOT standards, AASHTO, and relevant international standards.

• Review design reports, drawings, calculations, specifications, BOQs, and technical studies.

• Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and stakeholders during all design stages.

• Evaluate technical proposals, value engineering initiatives, and alternative design solutions.

• Support constructability reviews and design-for-construction assessments.

• Review drainage systems, hydraulic studies, stormwater management solutions, culverts, channels, and erosion protection measures.

• Review road structures including bridges, retaining walls, underpasses, and associated civil infrastructure.

• Participate in technical workshops, design reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering studies.

• Support permitting, authority coordination, and stakeholder engagement activities.

• Monitor consultant performance and ensure quality design outputs are delivered in accordance with project schedules.

• Prepare technical comments, CRS reviews, engineering recommendations, and management reports.
