Responsibilities
- Lead civil and structural design through concept, schematic, detailed design, and construction documentation stages.
- Develop and verify structural calculations, foundation solutions, retaining walls, slab systems, and related engineering elements.
- Produce civil drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, and design basis reports.
- Conduct geotechnical investigations, interpret soil reports, and oversee testing.
- Facilitate value engineering workshops for cost-effective and safe solutions.
- Supervise site construction and ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and safety protocols.
- Coordinate architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines.
- Maintain schedules, milestone tracking, and construction progress reports.
- Review contractor shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, and information requests.
- Perform site inspections, quality audits, and punch-list reviews.
- Liaise with authorities to secure permits, approvals, and no-objection certificates.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for clients and resolve technical challenges.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized, accredited university is mandatory.
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Construction Management is strongly preferred.
- Professional Engineer license or equivalent international certification is highly desirable.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of progressive Civil Engineering experience after graduation.
- At least 5 years in a senior or lead engineering role managing complex multidisciplinary projects.
- Prior experience working with international PMC firms on large-scale developments.
- Willingness to relocate to Saudi Arabia.
Technical standards
- Knowledge of the Saudi Building Code and international codes including ACI, BS, and Eurocode is required.
- Experience across concept, schematic, detailed design, construction documentation, and site supervision is required.
