Job Description
- Perform routine duties under general supervision.
- Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to meet engineering and construction specifications.
- Apply sound professional judgment to details of work.
- Independently perform walk-downs and inspections of installed commodities for conformance with specifications and design.
- Perform quantity surveys for tracking and reporting.
- Provide technical direction to drafters, technicians, and surveyors.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of professional civil engineering experience, including at least 5 years in a senior or lead capacity on water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer license or equivalent professional registration in the GCC region or an internationally recognized equivalent.
- Expertise in water and wastewater infrastructure design, construction, and rehabilitation, including treatment facilities, distribution systems, collection networks, and hydraulic infrastructure.
- Experience applying water-engineering techniques in accordance with GCC Building Code, water infrastructure standards, and international best practices.
- Strong background in water project construction inspections, quality assurance, and conformance verification.
- Experience providing technical direction and mentoring to engineering technicians, drafters, and surveyors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are preferred.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to conduct site walk-downs and field inspections.
Workplace and Onboarding
- The role requires site walk-downs and field inspections on water and wastewater facilities.
- New hires must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location.
