AtkinsRéalis is recruiting a Civil Engineer for its Networks and Drainage Design Team in Belfast.
The team provides water and wastewater infrastructure services, drainage design, SuDS, and surface water management for clients across the UK and internationally.
The role supports multidisciplinary civil engineering design delivery and requires relevant experience, analytical skills, and a desire to learn.
Work Arrangement
- The position offers hybrid working with three days per week based in the office or on site.
- The position is based in the Belfast office.
Your Role
- Produce drainage, water, and wastewater infrastructure design packages.
- Assist design engineers with multidisciplinary design solutions.
- Comply with CDM regulations and safety and environmental requirements.
- Manage projects and designs to deliver schemes on time and within budget.
- Prepare technical presentations and financial and technical proposals.
- Supervise junior team members and coordinate with other disciplines and site teams.
About You
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Recently Chartered or Incorporated Civil Engineer status, or approaching Chartered status.
- Experience coordinating or managing a civil engineering design delivery team in a multidisciplinary consultancy.
- Strong knowledge of drainage, water, and wastewater.
- Practical knowledge of current design codes, standards, industry best practices, and CDM regulations.
- Proficiency with Causeway Flow, MicroDrainage, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and communicate technical concepts clearly within multidisciplinary teams.
- Proactive, highly motivated, and collaborative approach.
