Compensation
- Pay is AED 6,000–10,000 per month.
Role overview
The Senior Civil Engineer will manage and supervise civil construction activities for a contracting company in Dubai.
The role covers site execution, project coordination, subcontractor management, quality control, cost monitoring, and compliance with UAE requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day civil construction activities and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and schedules.
- Coordinate consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Review drawings, plan site resources, monitor progress, and supervise subcontractor execution.
- Coordinate QA/QC inspections, testing, approvals, project reports, and technical issue resolution.
- Assist with BOQs, quantity take-offs, variations, interim payments, and project cost control.
- Implement HSE requirements, maintain records and as-built information, and mentor junior engineers.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
- At least 8 years of relevant civil construction experience.
- Strong experience with contracting companies and building construction projects.
- Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, site execution, and technical drawings.
- Good knowledge of UAE construction standards, regulations, and authority requirements.
- Experience with subcontractor coordination, project management, QA/QC, and HSE requirements.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management or reporting tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred qualifications
- UAE or GCC construction experience is highly preferred.
- A UAE driving license is preferred.
- Candidates currently available in the UAE are preferred.
