About The Role

Supporting people living with dementia, mental health issues and behaviours that may challenge

This role is for both day and night shifts Full Time/Part Time

We are looking for individuals who have a positive, patient and flexible attitude along with excellent communication skills and a passion for supporting people. The role would suit someone who is able to multitask, prioritise workloads and remain calm under pressure.

Our Senior Care Assistants are part of a dedicated and highly trained team that is hardworking and motivated by delivering great service. You will be at the heart of our service and support our residents to communicate while understanding their individual needs and building empowering relationships with them. You will have a wealth of knowledge, experience, skills and passion to enable our residents to live life to the full with confidence and freedom.

What we are looking for someone to:

· Promote, supervise, and ensure that high standards of care are provided.

· Support the Nurses to provide a high level of clinical service delivery.

· Promote and ensure high standards of professional practise are maintained which are conducive to the physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual needs of the individuals.

· Ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to throughout the service.

· Provide person centred care in a safe, warm and friendly environment – in conjunction with Towerview’s visions and values.

· Carry out clinical/nursing activities/audits/risk assessments/reviews based on training and competencies of an Assistant Practitioner.

We need individuals who are ready to assist and look after the physical and personal needs of the older people living in our care homes.

Skills, knowledge and qualifications required are:

· A relevant NVQ level 3 qualification or working towards

· Medication administration and management qualification.

· Experience in supporting Nurses to lead a shift.

· Effectively lead and direct a team drawing clinical support from the Nursing team.

· Prior experience with nursing people with mental health and or challenging behaviours.

· The ability to communicate effectively on all levels.

· Deliver person centred care at all times.

It would be advantageous to have:

· A knowledge of safeguarding processes.

· Supervision and Appraisal delivery experience.

· Effective team working track record.

· Experience with CQC inspections.

· Assistant Practitioner qualification.
