Role Overview

The Senior Business Analyst supports complex Know Your Customer change initiatives for Canadian Personal Banking’s KYC ART.

The role plans, manages, and leads requirements activities to drive continuous value and support business objectives and key results.

The role provides expertise in requirements management, operating models, quality standards, and requirements traceability.

Accountabilities

  • Plan, manage, and lead the end-to-end requirements process.
  • Partner with stakeholders to elicit and document high-quality business requirements.
  • Analyze impacts to customers, colleagues, stakeholders, processes, and technology solutions.
  • Support problem and opportunity statements, business benefits, and success criteria aligned with OKRs.
  • Research current process flows and identify future-state enhancements for regulatory changes.
  • Define business data requirements, rules, and data lineage impacts.
  • Maintain requirements traceability throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Provide thought leadership, influence decisions, connect business and technology teams, and mentor junior analysts.
  • Participate in the Analyst Practice Community of Interest and maintain collaborative partner relationships.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of business analysis experience delivering complex regulatory, transformation, or technology initiatives within large organization programs or projects.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Resiliency, flexibility, and comfort working with change and ambiguity.
  • Ability to understand and summarize technical scenarios conceptually.
  • Experience in regulatory delivery projects, especially AML or KYC, is an asset.
  • Financial institution or banking experience and knowledge of Personal Banking is an asset.
  • Experience with Waterfall, Agile, and SAFe methodologies is required; SAFe Certification and CBAP Certification are assets.
