Own business analysis and delivery follow-up end to end so engineering leadership can focus on strategy.
Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and engineering, run daily squad check-ins, and produce competitor and market benchmarks.
Business Analysis
- Translate business needs into user stories with acceptance criteria, edge cases, non-functional needs, and success metrics.
- Map current-state and future-state user journeys for customer-flow changes.
- Maintain a prioritized product backlog for each product area with Product.
- Author functional specifications for designers and engineers.
Task Management and Delivery
- Run daily check-ins with assigned engineering squads covering shipped, blocked, and upcoming work.
- Track work items, sprint boards, pull requests, and deployed QA or production state.
- Maintain a concise progress dashboard for each product area.
- Surface blockers with enough context for prompt action.
- Drive sprint retrospectives and record actions with owners.
Benchmarking and Market Research
- Produce benchmark deliverables covering three to five competitor or inspiration products, screenshots or flow recordings, strengths, weaknesses, missed opportunities, and recommendations.
- Run periodic competitor sweeps covering pricing models, monetization mechanics, and new features.
- Bring market intelligence into product decisions before user stories are created.
Must-Have Experience
- 6+ years as a business analyst or product business analyst in software product companies.
- Excellent written English for PRDs and specification documents.
- Power-user experience with Azure DevOps or Jira.
- Ability to build rapid prototypes or proof-of-concepts in Replit.
- Ability to read API specifications and database schemas.
- Two or three examples of authored competitive analyses.
- Stakeholder management across non-technical and technical audiences.
Nice to Have
- Classifieds, marketplace, or multi-sided platform experience.
- Regional GCC market knowledge.
- Basic SQL, Power BI, or dashboarding skills.
- Agile or Scrum certification.
- Familiarity with Bolt, Lovable, v0, or Cursor.
