About the Role
The Treasury Board Secretariat seeks a Senior Business Analyst to lead complex financial modernization projects across the Ontario Public Service. You will drive enterprise-wide initiatives, implement PSAB standards, and lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
- Lead cross functional teams in implementing enterprise wide accounting projects, including the implementation of new Public Sector Accounting Board (PSAB) standards.
- Collaborate with technical leads and stakeholders to develop clear, actionable project plans, and ensure deadlines and objectives are achieved.
- Prepare complex materials (briefing notes, reports, communications) for senior management.
- Apply business process re engineering concepts to support business transformation and improvements.
- Facilitate consultations to define linkages between financial management systems and business practices across the Ontario Public Service.
Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of financial controllership and management principles and practices, including revenue and expenditure management, financial reporting, governance, accountability and internal control frameworks
- Expert knowledge and understanding of large, complex, enterprise wide integrated financial management systems, current trends, financial information system functionalities, capabilities, and related business processes
- Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., waterfall, agile, hybrid) across all project phases
- Experience developing charters, integrated project plans, schedules, and managing budgets, scope, timelines, resources, and vendor relationships
- Ability to manage project risks, action items, issues and ensure controls are in place for project success
- Ability to lead cross functional teams and deliver projects on time
- Ability to evaluate complex financial information, identify innovative solutions and resolve complex issues
- Understanding of government decision making processes and accounting practices
- Ability to assess the impact of legislation, policy and information management on program/service delivery
- Quantitative and qualitative analysis, risk assessment and management skills
- Ability to interpret and apply statistical and analytical techniques
- Ability to lead development of high quality communication materials (briefing notes, presentations, reports) and deliver compelling messages to influence senior management
