Responsibilities
- Originate, negotiate, and execute back to back physical bunker trades (HSFO, VLSFO, MGO, and alternative marine fuels)
- Develop, manage, and grow a portfolio of shipowners, operators, charterers, and trading counterparties
- Generate new business through proactive outreach, market intelligence, and structured client engagement
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and contractual conditions to optimize margin while maintaining competitiveness
- Monitor market trends, price movements, supply demand dynamics, and regulatory developments
- Build and maintain long term relationships with customers and suppliers
- Manage the full transaction lifecycle: enquiry, pricing, confirmation, nomination, delivery monitoring, and post fixture follow up
- Conduct trading within approved credit limits and exposure thresholds, and liaise with Credit & Risk teams
- Share market intelligence and customer insights across regional offices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Maritime Studies, Economics, Finance, or related discipline (preferred)
- 6+ years of experience in bunker trading, marine fuels, shipping, or physical oil products trading
- Demonstrated sales and negotiation capability
- Strong understanding of global shipping markets, bunker products, quality specifications, and logistics constraints
- Fluency in English (additional languages advantageous)
- Strong commercial mindset and ownership of results
- High numerical aptitude and analytical capability
- Resilience and ability to perform under pressure in volatile markets

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor market trends, price movements, supply demand dynamics, and regulatory developments.
- Build and maintain long term relationships with customers and suppliers.

- Ensure compliance with internal policies, sanctions regulations, KYC requirements, and applicable laws.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Maritime Studies, Economics, Finance, or related discipline (preferred).
- 6+ years of experience in bunker trading, marine fuels, shipping, or physical oil products trading.
- Demonstrated sales and negotiation capability.
- Strong understanding of global shipping markets, bunker products, quality specifications, and logistics constraints.
- Fluency in English (additional languages advantageous depending on location).
- Strong commercial mindset, ownership of results, excellent negotiation and relationship building skills.
- High numerical aptitude and analytical capability.

Location Specific Requirements
