Role Overview

Core Functions

• Support project inception reviews, planning documents, drawing strategies, numbering, and efficient production methods.
• Comply with BIM Execution Plans and WSP CAD standards.
• Coordinate deliverables, resources, deadlines, priorities, setting-out information, grid lines, floor levels, and building details.
• Develop general arrangement, section, and detail drawings from engineer and design team information.
• Produce coordinated models and drawings while eliminating errors and clashes.
• Coordinate architectural and MEP models and complete model and drawing quality checks.
• Complete reviews before issue and follow quality assurance, document control, archiving, and CDM procedures.
• Work with project team members, provide CAD guidance, contribute to estimates, and monitor work and fee tracking.

Mandatory Skills

• Expert knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD, including standard functions and coaching junior staff.
• Prepare detailed plans, drawings, and documents for concrete structures and steel members.
• Use AutoCAD, BIM360, Navisworks, Microsoft Office 365, and Microsoft Teams.
• Understand structural mechanics, building construction, consulting engineering, RIBA work stages, LOD, and drawing requirements.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and understand applicable industry standards.
• Understand project templates, custom worksets, Revit phasing, Uniclass 2015, and Common Data Environment workflows.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• Demonstrate initiative, communication, organisation, innovation, teamwork, self-development, client relationship building, improvement, quality, and accountability.
• Revit family creation, parametric modelling, embodied carbon, reinforced concrete detailing, or underground drainage modelling are desirable.
• Civil 3D, SketchUp, Rhino, Fusion, Forge, Inventor, or Bluebeam experience is useful.
• Diploma in Civil Engineering or higher is required.
• Eight or more years of relevant production experience is required, or a demonstrated strong track record in a similar role.
