Senior Back-End Software Engineer

To achieve this, we're looking for a Senior Back-End Software Engineer to strengthen our back-end capabilities and contribute to building scalable, secure, and efficient systems.

Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Back-End Software Engineer with deep technical expertise and a strong sense of ownership.

You will play a key role in designing and developing robust back-end systems, contributing to architectural decisions, and ensuring high standards in performance, scalability, and security.

You will work extensively with third-party integrations and external APIs, ensuring seamless, secure, and scalable connectivity across systems.

Additionally, you will contribute to AI-driven initiatives, helping integrate intelligent services and data-driven capabilities into our platform.

The ideal candidate is adaptable, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable working across a diverse tech stack including Java, Node.js, C++, and TypeScript.

• Design, develop, and maintain complex back-end systems.
• Build and maintain secure, scalable integrations with third-party services and external APIs.
• Contribute to AI-related initiatives, including integrating AI services and supporting data-driven features.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making.
• Work independently to solve complex problems and implement features with high quality and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Implement and follow DevOps best practices, managing AWS infrastructure and services.
• Promote high standards in code quality, CI/CD, and deployment processes.
• Utilise Docker and similar containerisation tools to streamline development and deployment.
• Monitor and analyse system performance using tools such as Datadog, proactively identifying areas for improvement.

• 8+ years of experience in software development, with at least 4 years focused on back-end development.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with a high level of ownership.
• Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating effectively with remote teams.
• Strong expertise in multiple programming languages, including Java, Node.js, C++, and TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of DevOps practices and AWS services, including deployment, monitoring, and scaling.
• Extensive experience with Docker and containerisation tools.
• Familiarity with logging and analytics tools such as Datadog.
• Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and experience contributing to full-stack solutions is considered an advantage.

• Experience in the trading or financial services industry.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks and how they interact with back-end systems.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
