Role Overview
Proxima is transforming its technology estate toward a predominantly cloud-native operating model based on Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Fabric, and the wider Microsoft cloud ecosystem.
The Senior Azure Platform Engineer will provide broad Azure platform engineering capability and develop depth in Microsoft Fabric and data-platform technologies.
The role offers ownership of a growing Azure environment, infrastructure-as-code and automation work, cloud architecture involvement, and a senior technical path without people management.
The modernisation programme is reducing reliance on legacy and on-premises infrastructure.

The opportunity

Day-to-day responsibilities
- Design, implement, maintain, and improve services across the Azure estate.
- Provide engineering resilience for Microsoft Fabric without replacing BI developers or owning business reporting and visualisation.
- Move the organisation toward repeatable, controlled, and automated infrastructure management.
- Implement technical security controls while working with governance and assurance functions.
- Take technical ownership of projects and workstreams.
