Position Summary

The Senior Associate, Resource Management supports staffing, scheduling, capacity planning, workforce analytics, and resource optimization activities for the India Tax practice. This role works closely with the Manager, Talent Optimization and Tax leadership to facilitate effective resource deployment, monitor capacity and utilization, support staffing decisions, and maintain accurate workforce data.

The Senior Associate serves as a key contributor to workforce planning efforts by providing reporting, analysis, and operational support to help ensure resources are aligned with business demands while supporting employee development, engagement objectives, and operational excellence across U.S. and India teams.

Scheduling & Staffing Support

Support the scheduling of tax professionals across multiple industries within the India Tax team.

Assist with processing staffing requests and ensuring schedules remain accurate, current, and aligned with business needs.

Monitor resource availability, capacity, PTO, training, and other scheduling commitments.

Identify potential scheduling conflicts, capacity constraints, or workload imbalances and communicate findings to the Manager, Talent Optimization.

Assist with work transitions, reassignments, and workload balancing activities as directed.

Maintain accurate staffing information in scheduling tools, trackers, reports, and workforce planning systems.

Capacity, Utilization & Workforce Analytics

Prepare and analyze capacity, utilization, staffing, and availability reports for leadership review.

Track employee availability, chargeable hour projections, and scheduled commitments to support workforce visibility.

Monitor schedule changes and ensure updates are reflected in timely reporting systems.

Identify trends in staffing, utilization, and resource availability and communicate insights to support decision-making.

Support data validation efforts to improve reporting accuracy, workforce visibility, and data integrity.

Assist in workforce planning activities by monitoring forecasted workload, resource demand, and skill requirements.

Provide scheduling, utilization, and capacity-related information as requested by management.

Coordination & Stakeholder Communication

Serve as a resource for routine scheduling inquiries from team members, managers, and engagement teams.

Coordinate with U.S. and India Tax teams to gather staffing information, scheduling updates, and resource needs.

Build effective working relationships with U.S. and India leadership teams to support resource deployment decisions.

Facilitate communication regarding staffing conflicts, priorities, workload balancing, and schedule changes.

Escalate staffing concerns, scheduling issues, or capacity risks to the Manager, Talent Optimization when appropriate.

Process & Administrative Support

Follow established scheduling procedures, guidelines, and best practices.

Assist with maintaining scheduling documentation, process materials, and training resources.

Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance scheduling efficiency, reporting quality, and data accuracy.

Participate in team meetings, scheduling calls, capacity review exercises, and workforce planning discussions.

Assist with onboarding and training activities related to scheduling tools, reporting processes, and resource management procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Operations, or related fields.
  • 2-4 years of experience in resource management, workforce planning, scheduling, professional services operations, project coordination, or related discipline.
  • Experience in a CPA firm, tax practice, public accounting, or professional services environment preferred.
  • Strong Excel and reporting skills, including pivot tables, data analysis, and report preparation.
  • Experience with resource management, workforce planning, scheduling, ERP, or reporting platforms; Microsoft Dynamics or similar systems preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, critical thinking, and follow-through.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate across teams and levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and shift business needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify issues, summarize findings, and support practical solutions.
