The Team
Our Private Equity Performance Improvement practice works directly with private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies to identify and deliver operational and financial performance improvements across the investment lifecycle — from due diligence through to value creation planning and hands-on execution. We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our growing team, supporting engagements that help clients identify EBITDA opportunities, build robust financial models, and drive measurable value creation across a broad range of industries.
How You Will Contribute
As a Senior Associate within the Performance Improvement Practice, you will support multiple high-profile and complex engagements, delivering rapid, tangible results with a focus on bottom-line improvement. Your responsibilities will include:
Create high-quality analytical models (e.g., 3-statement and 13-week forecasts, EBITDA opportunity assessment models) with coaching and direction from senior team members (required)
Validate all data and assumptions used in calculations, and reconcile models and reports
Think critically and apply rules to produce accurate and reliable analyses independently
Quality check your own work product to ensure it addresses the subject question, flows logically, and is free from error
Proactively communicate progress and roadblocks to senior team members on an ongoing basis, and proactively develop solutions to those roadblocks
Develop high-quality presentation materials with coaching and direction from senior team members
Validate information provided by clients and anticipate questions
Assist in the proposal preparation process by performing company and industry research and drafting situational overviews
Support the development of Firm Contribution areas, such as Recruiting, Professional Development and Marketing
Qualifications
- 3-7 years of work experience in corporate finance, corporate restructuring or management consulting positions with a financial or accounting focus (required)
- Must be familiar with and able to develop and maintain financial modeling needs (e.g., 3-statement models, 13-week forecasts, EBITDA opportunity assessment models)
- Undergraduate degree; MBA, CFA or CA preferred but not required
- Ability to develop and analyse business plans and pro-forma financial models to identify key assumptions and value drivers
- Ability to conduct analyses from large sets of data to support strategic recommendations
- Team player who can excel in a fast-paced, challenging work environment
- Confident and efficient speaker, presenter and business writer
- Willingness to support internal firm initiatives (e.g., marketing, recruiting, client pitches)
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and PowerPoint), including use of AI to accelerate model development and reviews
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team with people at all levels of an organisation
- Ability to travel based on client and business needs
