Responsibilities
- Identify promising early stage startups (Pre Seed to Series A) in fintech and adjacent sectors
- Map emerging trends, technologies, and market opportunities through research and ecosystem engagement
- Build relationships with founders, accelerators, incubators, VCs, and innovation networks
- Evaluate business models, unit economics, and market dynamics of early stage companies
- Conduct financial analysis, valuations, and scenario modeling
- Support due diligence across commercial, operational, and financial dimensions
- Prepare detailed investment memos and presentations for the Investment Committee
- Assist in deal structuring, negotiation, and documentation
- Monitor portfolio company performance through data, KPIs, and engagement with founders
- Identify collaboration opportunities between portfolio startups and Riyad Bank’s business units
- Contribute to post investment support and strategic initiatives
- Track global venture capital and fintech trends to shape investment thesis
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Business Administration (MBA or CFA preferred)
- Approximately 5 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or consulting
- Proven analytical and financial modeling skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus)
- Deep curiosity about startups, technology, and venture investing
- Team player with ability to thrive in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment

Role Overview
- Seeking a Senior Associate to join the investment team in Riyadh, supporting the end to end venture investment process.
- Ideal candidate has ~5 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or strategy consulting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deal Sourcing & Ecosystem Engagement: Identify promising early stage startups, map trends, build relationships.
- Investment Analysis & Execution: Evaluate business models, conduct financial analysis, support due diligence, prepare memos.
- Portfolio Support & Strategic Value Creation: Monitor performance, identify collaboration opportunities.
- Thought Leadership & Internal Strategy: Track trends, contribute insights, represent at events.
Qualifications & Experience
