Senior Associate

Due to our continued growth, Piper Alderman is seeking a talented Senior Associate with 5+ years of post-qualified experience to join our Dispute Resolution & Litigation team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of commercial litigation and related dispute matters.

The team also work closely with many Australian and International litigation funders and are regularly briefed on third-party funded litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborating on large scale funded litigation and dispute matters

Drafting emails, correspondence, opinions, advice, and legal documentation for court and tribunal proceedings

Assisting with the preparation and management of files

Conducting legal research and drafting legal documents

Managing the discovery process including collecting, reviewing, and organising documents and evidence

Attending court appearances and mediations

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

5+ years of post-admission litigation experience

An excellent academic record coupled with strong technical legal skills and strong foundational experience in commercial litigation

A commitment to excellence and delivery of high-quality outcomes to our clients

Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to multi-task, manage competing priorities and at times, work to tight deadlines

Strong drafting skills with specific ability to draft court documents and affidavits

A team player with a supportive and collaborative working style
