Job Description
- Senior Art Director role at HAKUHODO/BCi focusing on brand understanding, conceptualization, visual crafting, and art leadership for social media.
A. Brand and Product understanding
- Learn and master brand / clients’ personas and values.
- Learn and master product technical features, strengths, weaknesses.
- Learn the client’s project brief and requirements.
- Learn the target audience's wants, needs, lifestyle, and culture.
B. Conceptualization / Ideation
- Come up with insights and ideas that are relevant, unique, and engaging.
- Ensure ideas align with project brief and communication strategy.
- Take calculated risks and explore all options.
C. Visual Crafting: Graphic Design, Art Direction, Visual Storytelling
- Apply brand persona, product knowledge, and project requirements to static artworks and videos.
- Create visuals that tell brand messages clearly and engagingly.
- Utilize brand assets with quality and accuracy.
- Push brand guidelines to create unique artworks.
- Shoot videos on location using company equipment.
- Edit and polish videos to tell compelling stories.
- Maintain expertise in Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro.
- Learn and use AI tools (Higgsfield, Google Gemini) but not overly rely on them.
- Work with production partners and supervise quality from planning to post production.
D. Overall Creative
- Consider all communication channels for building brands.
- Maintain awareness of trends in online behavior, media, technology, and culture.
- Maintain awareness of competitor brands and their marketing materials.
- Display leadership, originality, and skill in creative development.
E. Art Leadership – for Social Media / SNS
- Mentor and inspire art based team members on branding, ideation, art direction, and visual storytelling.
- Quality control SNS team deliverables through objective mentorship.
- Coordinate content ideation for monthly content and seasonal events with copy based team.
- Organize crafting and production of art based requirements.
- Co organize presentation decks and co present monthly SNS content.
- Plan and coordinate with copy based team, Strategy, Digital Media, and Accounts Team.
- Plan and coordinate with Creative Heads and Campaigns Team on campaigns.
- Learn team members’ strengths and mentor on improvements.
- Attend to work related concerns of art based members.
F. Workmanship
- Maximize the company’s hybrid work setup.
- Deliver within agreed deadlines.
- Successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
