Role Overview
The Senior Application Engineer is responsible for delivering technical expertise and engineering solutions that support Weatherford's products and services across the Australian market. This role partners closely with Sales, Operations, Product Line, and customers to develop fit-for-purpose solutions that optimize drilling, completion, production, intervention, and well construction operations while ensuring compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and Weatherford's quality and HSE requirements.
The successful candidate will provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle—from opportunity identification and solution design to implementation, field support, and post-job evaluation—helping drive customer satisfaction and business growth.

Job Purpose
The Senior Application Engineer is responsible for delivering technical expertise and engineering solutions that support Weatherford's products and services across the Australian market. This role partners closely with Sales, Operations, Product Line, and customers to develop fit-for-purpose solutions that optimize drilling, completion, production, intervention, and well construction operations while ensuring compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and Weatherford's quality and HSE requirements.
The successful candidate will provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle—from opportunity identification and solution design to implementation, field support, and post-job evaluation—helping drive customer satisfaction and business growth.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced application engineering support for Weatherford products, technologies, and services.
- Analyze customer well requirements, operational challenges, and technical specifications to develop optimized engineering solutions.
- Prepare technical proposals, equipment recommendations, application designs, calculations, and cost estimates.
- Support the Sales and Business Development teams by providing technical expertise during customer meetings, presentations, and tender submissions.
