Role overview
Proton is hiring a Senior Android Software Engineer to build privacy-first products used by millions of people.
The role supports product teams across Proton Drive, Payments, and Account.
The engineer will build and ship Android experiences using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and an increasingly shared Rust core.
Workplace

Engineering responsibilities
- Own features end to end from scoping and technical design through delivery and iteration.
- Build maintainable, scalable, and testable mobile architectures across large codebases.
- Address performance, concurrency, multithreading, memory management, caching, network usage, responsiveness, and offline behaviour.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams across Proton.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to product and technical discussions.
