Role overview
Navan is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to design, build, and enhance mobile applications for business expense management.
The engineer will work with an international team of engineers and domain experts to deliver features and improve the product.
The role includes leading complex projects and contributing to technical direction.
Required qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience developing high-quality Android applications.
- Strong understanding of the full application development lifecycle.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose for user interfaces.
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK components and the Android OS lifecycle, including notifications, deep links, battery modes, network state, data persistence, and permissions.
- Experience with performance tuning, optimization, Gradle builds, modules, concurrency, and coroutines.
- Ability to make architecture decisions based on data and requirements, with working knowledge of MVVM and multi-tier architecture.
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and publishing to the Google Play Store.
