Competencies We’re Looking For
Curiosity and Initiative: You are eager to learn the business so that you can help use data to drive impactful decisions across teams. You proactively identify opportunities to improve data quality, engineering practices, and team processes. You take ownership from problem identification through implementation.
Technical Skills and Problem Solving: You enjoy breaking down complex problems, debugging systematically, and making sound engineering tradeoffs. You think beyond the immediate request to build solutions that are reusable, reliable, and easy to maintain.
Collaboration and communication: Experience communicating technical topics to non-technical audiences, translating business needs into technical implementations, and liaising between Business, Engineering, and Analytics. You proactively share progress, raise risks early, and explain technical decisions. You can work in a team to get things done.
Engineering Judgement: You apply design thinking by exploring the underlying need, generating multiple approaches, and validating that your solution solves the problem. You consider tradeoffs – scale, maintainability, performance. You welcome feedback, encourage technical discussions, make decisions based on evidence, and see the value in collaborative problem solving.
