About the Role
HOOPP is seeking a Senior Analyst for Total Fund Data Science and Modeling to design and build AI-enabled reporting capabilities. The role involves developing ETL pipelines, semantic data models, and LLM/RAG solutions for investment analytics.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain reliable ETL/ELT ingestion and transformation pipelines across data systems.
- Design, develop, and maintain analytical and semantic data models.
- Extend the semantic metric layer used by Power BI, Qlik, natural language interfaces, and other tools.
- Analyze, model, and curate complex data from multiple workflows to produce trusted key metrics and insights.
- Embed data quality, lineage documentation, reconciliation controls into pipeline design.
- Apply AI assisted development of statistical analysis, machine learning, and data science techniques.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business requirements and natural language analytics opportunities.
- Design and implement LLM interfaces and RAG pipelines on top of curated datasets.
- Support the Director in leading innovation and business process improvement.
- Stay current with LLM, RAG, machine learning, and AI assisted development practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in applied AI, data science, analytics engineering, data engineering, or senior analytics roles
- Advanced Python and SQL skills
- Solid foundational knowledge of institutional investment products and analytics
- Experience designing or consuming semantic layers, governed metric views, curated reporting datasets, dimensional models
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and production grade ingestion patterns
- Practical experience applying generative AI, LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, NLP, or AI enabled analytics
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Finance, Engineering, or related field

Job Summary
- Reporting to the Director, Data Science & Modeling, Total Fund Analytics.
- The Senior Analyst will bring deep expertise in applied AI and LLM/RAG enabled analytics.
- Design, build, and scale AI enabled reporting capabilities on top of governed data foundations.
What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain reliable ETL/ELT ingestion and transformation pipelines.
- Design, develop, and maintain analytical and semantic data models.
- Extend the semantic metric layer used by Power BI, Qlik, natural language interfaces.
- Analyze, model, and curate complex data from multiple workflows.
- Embed data quality, lineage documentation, reconciliation controls into pipeline design.
- Apply AI assisted development of statistical analysis, machine learning, and data science techniques.

What you bring

Salary Range
- CAD 103,000 CAD 153,000 per year.
