About the Role
Remon Consulting is seeking a Senior AI Strategy & Research Consultant for a 3-4 month interim engagement. The role involves leading AI strategy, research, and policy advisory for a government client, requiring deep technical understanding and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities
- Research emerging AI technologies including Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, multimodal AI and enterprise AI
- Assess AI adoption, innovation trends and ecosystem maturity across multiple sectors
- Develop strategic insights, maturity assessments and evidence based recommendations
- Benchmark international AI ecosystems and identify leading practices
- Advise on AI governance, regulation, ethics and responsible AI
- Support senior stakeholder interviews, workshops and executive presentations
- Produce high quality reports and briefing papers suitable for executive and government audiences
- Provide technical quality assurance across all AI related project outputs
Requirements
- Significant experience in AI Strategy, AI Research, AI Policy, Enterprise AI Adoption, Digital Transformation, Responsible AI, AI Governance, Technology Strategy, Innovation Policy, or AI Commercialisation
- Demonstrable expertise in Generative AI, LLMs, AI Agents, Machine Learning, Responsible AI, AI Ethics, AI Regulation, Enterprise AI, Data Strategy, AI Infrastructure, or Innovation Ecosystems
- Exceptional written communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to executive audiences
- Experience advising governments, regulators, multinational organisations or international institutions is highly advantageous
- Fluency in Arabic (written and spoken) is desirable
- Master's degree or PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science or related discipline is desirable

About the Opportunity
- This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a flagship international strategy project examining how Artificial Intelligence is transforming economies, industries and public services.
- Working alongside the Project Director, you will provide thought leadership across AI strategy, emerging technologies and innovation ecosystems, translating complex technical developments into clear, evidence based recommendations for senior decision makers.
- This is not a software engineering or AI development role. Instead, we're looking for someone who combines deep technical understanding with strategic thinking, commercial awareness and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Researching emerging AI technologies, including Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI, multimodal AI and enterprise AI.

- Experience advising governments, regulators, multinational organisations or international institutions would be highly advantageous.
Knowledge & Expertise

Additional Desirable Criteria
- Fluency in Arabic (written and spoken).
- Experience living or working in the GCC.
- Knowledge of the GCC AI, technology, innovation or public sector landscape.
- Experience engaging with government entities, regulators or large enterprises within the GCC.
- Existing professional network across the GCC region.
Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications in AI, cloud technologies or digital transformation.
- Experience contributing to strategic research, policy development or executive advisory assignments.
