Job Description
Sumaria Systems is seeking a Senior AI Engineer / Data Scientist to provide advanced data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning support to the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. This is a full-time position supporting the ASTRA program.
Responsibilities
- Apply data science, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML) techniques to complex intelligence and mission problems.
- Develop, evaluate, and implement AI/ML models and analytical approaches supporting NASIC mission requirements.
- Analyze large, complex, and diverse datasets to identify patterns, relationships, trends, and actionable insights.
- Assess Government mission requirements and recommend appropriate data science, AI/ML, and analytical approaches.
- Support development and evaluation of algorithms, models, prototypes, and analytical capabilities.
- Prepare, transform, integrate, and analyze structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
- Evaluate model performance, accuracy, reliability, limitations, and operational applicability.
- Support integration of data science and AI/ML capabilities into existing and emerging mission workflows.
- Investigate emerging AI/ML technologies and assess their applicability to NASIC mission requirements.
- Collaborate with Government analysts, engineers, scientists, data architects, and mission stakeholders to transition analytical concepts into usable capabilities.
- Develop technical assessments, recommendations, and recurring status products supporting Government data science and analytics initiatives.
