Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee the company’s accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls.
The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of UAE accounting standards, VAT regulations, corporate tax requirements, payroll processing, and financial management practices.
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing management reports, supervising accounting activities, and ensuring compliance with UAE laws and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilitiesfinancial Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Maintain general ledger and ensure accurate bookkeeping records.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Reconcile bank accounts, supplier accounts, and intercompany balances.
- Monitor cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare financial analysis and management reports.
Compliance & Taxation
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and Corporate Tax requirements.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and supporting schedules.
- Assist with Corporate Tax calculations and documentation.
- Coordinate with external auditors during audit processes.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and UAE financial regulations.
Payroll & Wps
- Supervise payroll preparation and salary processing through WPS.
- Ensure timely employee salary payments in compliance with UAE Labour Law.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and employee benefits.
Budgeting & Internal Controls
- Assist management with budgeting and forecasting.
- Develop and maintain internal financial controls.
- Monitor company expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Support financial planning and strategic decision-making.
Administration & Coordination
- Liaise with banks, auditors, government authorities, and free zones.
- Support company liquidation, license renewal, and compliance procedures where required.
- Supervise junior accountants and finance assistants.
Qualifications & Requirementseducation
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CA qualification is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 5–8 years of accounting experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the United Arab Emirates.
- Experience with trading, consultancy, or free zone companies is an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of:
- IFRS
- UAE VAT
• UAE Corporate Tax
- WPS payroll processing
- Financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software such as:
- Zoho Books
- QuickBooks
- Tally
- Odoo
- SAP or ERP systems
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
