Senior Accountant, Real Estate and Workplace Services

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to operationalize key transactions and initiatives while proactively identifying and mitigating financial risks.
• Lead critical month-end close activities to ensure accurate, timely reporting, delivering key financial results, commentary, and insights to finance leadership.
• Lead Construction in Progress (CIP) reviews to identify and address potential impairment risks across real estate assets.
• Own and oversee CapEx SOX processes, specifically governing CIP reviews and property purchase accounting.
• Advocate for business transformation by leading process improvement and automation initiatives, leveraging large data sets and data visualization solutions to drive operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience. - 7 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 5 years with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance. - Experience with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in a public accounting or multinational company setting. Preferred qualifications: - Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA). - Experience with fixed asset accounting. - Proficiency in Google Workspace and familiarity with coding languages such as SQL or Python. - Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and changing environment to drive complex operational initiatives. - Excellent problem-solving skills, combined with impeccable business judgment and the ability to communicate effectively with leadership and FP&A partners. - Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a focus on continuous improvement.
