Responsibilities

  • Lead payroll accounting activities across the EMEA region and act as the key accounting partner for Payroll, HR, Benefits teams, and external payroll providers.
  • Prepare and review payroll-related journal entries, including payroll accrual calculations, ensuring all entries are accurate, complete, appropriately supported, tied out, and reviewed before submission in accordance with US GAAP and local GAAP.
  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including review of transactions posted by other accounting functions and proactive resolution of identified issues.
  • Take full ownership of balance sheet reconciliations for payroll, benefits, VAT, and other assigned accounts, ensuring clear account purpose, complete supporting documentation, documented status and aging of reconciling items, and timely investigation and resolution before submission for review.
  • Support VAT compliance including VAT account reconciliations, VAT accounting entries and coordination with internal tax team.
  • Contribute to statutory reporting, audits, and preparation of financial statements for EMEA entities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, ACA, CMA, or equivalent) is a plus
  • Demonstrated progressive accounting experience in a multinational environment, with exposure to internal controls, and SOX compliance
  • Strong accounting knowledge (US GAAP preferred)
  • Proven experience with preparation and review of complex payroll journals (multi-country and multi-currency set up)
  • Working knowledge of VAT
  • Understanding of SOX controls and compliance
  • Strong experience in working with ERP systems, preferably SAP
  • NOTE : This position is a hybrid working arrangements (requires on-site work from an Insulet office at least 2x/week; may work remotely other days).
