Senior Accountant

To support the Controller in fulfilling the responsibilities of the Finance / Accounting Department and ensuring accurate financial statements. This position includes fixed assets, inventory, and light cost accounting. It is an exciting time to join Modineer Group as we continue to grow and enhance processes!

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Aid in month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary, analyze inventory evaluation, prepare reconciliations, and prepare inventory roll forward.

Maintain the Fixed Asset and associated depreciation schedules using Bloomberg asset software. Prepare monthly general journal entries, CIP report and ensure proper recording of new purchases and disposals.

Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

Maintain capital leases in Lease Query.

Complete standard cost rolls on new parts.

Prepare the annual standards for labor and overhead.

Complete annual cost roll.

Assist in the implementation and testing of new processes.

Analyze cost accounting data working to understand and supply management information on the variances as it relates to inventory, labor, and overhead.

Prepare weekly consolidated inventory report.

Prepare monthly consolidated sales report.

Assist with physical inventories.

Support and assist department reporting requirements such as audit schedules, tax schedule and others.

Perform such other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time – quite often on short notice - by the CFO, Corporate Controller or Controller.
