Senior Accountant

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and maintain accounting records.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, supplier payments, and client collections.
• Prepare monthly bank, supplier, customer, and petty cash reconciliations.
• Manage petty cash recording, verification, and reconciliation.
• Prepare monthly profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, and aging reports.
• Verify supplier invoices and prepare payment schedules for approval.
• Monitor cash flow, receivables, payables, and upcoming payments.
• Assist with audits and provide financial documents and schedules.
• Maintain invoices, receipts, and financial records in an organized manner.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and keep accounts accurate and current.
• Coordinate with management, clients, suppliers, auditors, and other departments.
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field is required.
• Three to five years of accounting experience is required, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax is required.
• Experience handling multiple companies is preferred.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software such as Tally ERP is required.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-up, and communication skills are required.
• The candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Compensation

• Salary is AED 4,000 to AED 4,500 per month.

Workplace

• The job is performed in person.
