The Role

We are looking for a bright, creative, detail-oriented, goal-driven, high-energy, and hardworking individual to fill our Senior Accountant position.

The ideal candidate should be self-starter with a strong work ethic and the capability to prioritize their workload to ensure timely and accurate delivery.

Reporting to the company senior executive, the person in this position will lead the day-to-day accounting function to meet the company expansion and business operation in North America and China.

This position is full-time (40 hours a week) and will be handling fund accounting and investment accounting in addition to financial operations.

It may require limited weekend and evening hours for special projects.

The work location is in Houston, TX.

What You’ll do :

Handle fund accounting and investment accounting.

  • Lead accounting effort with month-end closing cycle, bank reconciliations and journal entries
  • Provide reporting on projections, budgets, and board presentations.
  • Support investment fund operation
  • Support annual external audit.
  • Assist Head of Accounting/Finance with ad hoc accounting projects.
  • Organize office operations policy and procedures.
  • Financial analysis as needed.

  • Minimum of 5 years accounting experience with 3 years at a PE or investment firm
  • Practical experience and knowledge of GAAP accounting
  • Proficient with fund accounting and investment accounting
  • Experience with preparing books for GAAP audits
  • Proficient with QuickBooks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be a good team player, detail oriented, and problem solver.
  • Must have the willingness and ability to take ownership and initiative to get the work done timely.
  • Flexibility to work overtime about 15 hours a week.
  • Must be highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Office with a high emphasis on Excel.
  • Familiarity with fund/partnership accounting
  • Experience with multi-entity accounting consolidations and consolidation software
  • Must be resourceful, dependable, self-starter, deadline and detail-oriented.
  • Must be willing and able to adapt to new tasks and responsibilities
  • Able to work in a multi-culture environment, knowledge in Chinese is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 3 years of directly related accounting and operations experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in accounting or finance

Compensation

Pay range: $65,094.00 - $93,865.93

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
