Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Senior Accountant role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The role oversees financial reporting, general ledger activity, closing, reconciliations, cash flow, compliance, and management reporting.
The position requires fluent French communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee preparation and review of financial statements.
- Manage general ledger entries and month-end and year-end closing.
- Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
- Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards.
- Coordinate with auditors and implement internal controls.
- Prepare management reports and analyze financial performance.
- Support tax and regulatory filings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders on-site.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and related tools.
- Fluent spoken and written French is required.
- Good command of English is highly beneficial.
- Experience with audits, internal controls, and relevant regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA, ACCA, or CA certification is advantageous.
- Prior senior or supervisory accounting experience is preferred, particularly in the UAE or GCC region.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, collaboration, and deadline management are required.
