Senior Accountant

Role Summary

Accounting Operations

• Process purchase orders, supplier invoices, employee reimbursements, and operational payments in SAP for approval.
• Update bank statements, upload approved payments to the bank portal, and maintain end-of-day collection reports.
• Manage petty cash and company debit cards with proper documentation and controls.
• Prepare payroll, provisions, accruals, accounts payable ageing, inventory reports, and reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities while meeting accuracy and deadline requirements.

Controls and Audit

• Review accounting entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for accuracy.
• Prepare management reports and basic financial analysis and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Support improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation and coordinate responses to audit queries.
• Provide guidance to junior accounting staff and review selected tasks and outputs.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5 to 8 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in the healthcare sector is required.
• Prior experience in a recognized audit firm.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems, with SAP preferred.
• Good understanding of accounting standards and internal controls.
• ACCA, CPA, CA, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification is a plus.
