Responsibilities
- Verify, allocate and reconcile account balances, bank statements and maintain general ledger
- Preparation of month/quarter/year end close procedures and reporting
- Preparation of annual accounts for audit and annual statutory reporting
- Monitor, develop and document processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Provide financial and analytical support to senior management around budgets, spending, reporting and financial accountability
- Provide guidance to accounting staff
- Complete tax returns and other statutory compliance requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting or other relevant
- Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) preferred
- Previous experience as an Accountant for at least 5 years in the U.A.E
- Experience of guiding a team of Accountants and Junior Accountants preferred
- Strong knowledge and hands on experience with accounting software and MS Excel
- Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures, familiarity with financial accounting statements, general ledger functions and month end/year end closing procedures
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Thoroughness with accuracy and attention to detail
- Fluency in English, both speaking and writing

The Role
- MAYEKAWA is a leading manufacturer of industrial refrigeration and gas compressors, and a prominent thermal engineering company.
- MAYEKAWA established its business in the Middle East (located at Dubai, U.A.E.) in 2005 and we are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Verify, allocate and reconcile account balances, bank statements and maintain general ledger
