Responsibilities
- Oversee day to day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and monthly closing activities
- Prepare financial statements, support budgeting and forecasting, and ensure accurate reporting in line with applicable accounting standards
- Monitor cash flow, review inventory related transactions, and collaborate with operations and sales teams to maintain accurate financial data
- Strengthen internal controls, manage audits, identify cost and efficiency improvements
- Provide financial insights to support management decisions
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in general accounting, financial reporting, and month end closing processes
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in a trading or distribution environment
- Knowledge of inventory accounting, cost of goods sold, and margin analysis
- Hands on experience with accounting software and ERP systems, along with solid Excel skills
- Understanding of relevant accounting standards and compliance requirements
- Ability to design, implement, and maintain effective internal controls and audit ready documentation
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is an advantage
- Previous experience in a senior accounting or similar role, preferably within wholesale, trading, or technology distribution

Role Description
- The Senior Accountant will oversee day to day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and monthly closing activities.
- This full time, on site role in Dubai includes preparing financial statements, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring accurate reporting in line with applicable accounting standards.
- The Senior Accountant will monitor cash flow, review inventory related transactions, and collaborate with operations and sales teams to maintain accurate financial data for wholesale and distribution activities.
- The role also involves strengthening internal controls, managing audits, identifying cost and efficiency improvements, and providing financial insights to support management decisions.
Qualifications
