Role Description

  • The Senior Accountant is a full time, on site role based in Dubai, responsible for managing and overseeing the company’s financial accounting and reporting activities.
  • This role includes preparing and reviewing financial statements, maintaining general ledger accounts, and ensuring accurate posting of journal entries.
  • The Senior Accountant will manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, reconcile bank and account balances, and monitor cash flow.
  • They will oversee accounts payable and receivable, support budgeting and forecasting, and ensure compliance with local regulations, tax requirements, and internal policies.
  • The role also involves collaborating with internal departments and external auditors, improving financial procedures, and providing management with clear financial analysis and recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Strong financial accounting and reporting skills, including general ledger management, journal entries, and preparation of financial statements.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and variance reporting to support data driven decision making.
  • Experience with accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management.
  • Knowledge of UAE accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements, including audit preparation.
  • Advanced user of accounting and ERP software, along with solid skills in spreadsheets and financial modeling tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational abilities, and time management skills to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is an advantage.
  • Several years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in professional services, consulting, or a multi service business environment.
  • Ability to work on site in Dubai and maintain high ethical standards, integrity, and confidentiality in handling financial information.
