Responsibilities
- Perform general or cost accounting activities requiring some insight and depth of understanding
- Apply accounting techniques and standard practices to the classification and recording of financial transactions
- Ensure proper handling of financial transactions and approvals within designated limits
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports
- Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations
- Establish tables of accounts and record all entries to proper accounts
- Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports comparing budgeted costs to actual costs
- Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems
- Perform internal audits of accounts payable, payroll distribution, fixed assets, and cash
- Appraise, evaluate, and conduct inventory of real property and equipment
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounts and Finance
- Professional Qualification in CPA or ACCA
- Minimum 5 years working experience, 3 years relevant
- ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills
- Excellent knowledge of Financial Processes and GAAP
- Sound understanding of the month end process

Job Summary
- The Senior Accountant performs professional accounting work involving compilation, consolidation, and analysis of financial data.
Job Responsibilities 1
- Perform general or cost accounting activities requiring some insight and depth of understanding.
- Apply accounting techniques and standard practices to the classification and recording of financial transactions.
- Ensure proper handling of financial transactions and transactions approvals within designated limits.
- Assists immediate superior in the preparation of MIS reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
- Ensure that records and analysis reflects the true and accurate measure of the business.
- Establish tables of accounts, and recorded all entries to its proper accounts.
- Ensures that data is fluid and provides information as required.
- Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
- Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
- Perform internal audits of accounts payable, payroll distribution, fixed assets, and cash.
Job Knowledge & Skills
- Excellent knowledge of Financial Processes.
- Knowledgeable in the latest accounting tools / software.
- Knowledgeable of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and practices.
- Sound understanding of the month end process.
- Knowledge of the financial markets and banking.
- In depth and demonstrable experience in financial management and accounting.
- ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills.
Job Experience
- Minimum 5 year(s) working experience, 3 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus
