Role Description

The Senior Accountant role is full-time and based in Doha.

The position oversees accounting operations and supports financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement.

Core Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Perform bank reconciliations and month-end and year-end closing activities.
Prepare and review financial statements.
Support budgeting and forecasting and monitor cash flow.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and local regulations.
Analyze financial data and provide management insights.
Coordinate with external auditors.
Improve internal controls and accounting processes.

Qualifications

Strong proficiency in financial accounting, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
Knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
Hands-on experience with accounting software and ERP systems, plus advanced MS Excel skills.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, organizational, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior accounting staff.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA, ACCA, or CMA certification is advantageous.
Logistics, warehousing, or e-commerce experience is beneficial.
